We are a group of Michael Jackson fans who
for over two years have been working on a project which is to get Michael
Jackson nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. We have sent letters to highly
ranked people such as Nelson Mandela, Jimmy Carter, Kofi Annan and the United
Nations. The letters contained a formal request asking them if they would
consider nominating Michael Jackson for the Nobel Peace Prize, and of course, we
provided information as to why we thought he deserved to be nominated. We
mentioned Michael's charity work and humanitarian efforts, and asked them if
they were interested in nominating Mr. Jackson for a life time achievement as a
great humanitarian.
Unfortunately we haven't succeeded in getting Michael
nominated so far, but Kofi Annan and the United Nations have been kind enough to
send a very nice and encouraging reply back. This year we're trying a little
harder. We're now in the researching phase of the project. We will use last
years letters as a template for the new letter and add new information. This
time we've decided to put up a petition, which means we will also include your
signatures along with any comments you wish to make. Please show your support by
signing this petition to ensure Michael Jackson receives the recognition he
deserves and is nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. We have so far received
over 1400 signatures, and recently we decided to put up a new petition as the
old one was hijacked more and more by spam. So that is why I'm reposting this in
case anyone of you have heard about this project before. And just for the record
-- if you already have signed the old petition, do not worry, your signature and
comment will still be included. Every one of them has been collected and kept
safe.
While reading all of the messages that have been posted
along with the signatures, we've also decided that all of them will be forwarded
to Mr. Michael Jackson himself. And before you say anything; yes, I can assure
you they will be delivered to him.

it is very important that you sign your real name and the country you reside in.
