Hey there, our debut CD entitled "Say Hello" is available both on iTunes and at Newbury Comics in Boston and Newton. So go check it out! It is eleven tracks and costs a measly 8 dollars. Wow!
The Novel Ideas is a folk-rock outfit from the neat city of Boston, Massachusetts. Daniel Radin leads the group on all their adventures. Originally he started the band because he always wanted to be in a band with a girl singing, and after a My Bloody Valentine obsession, this seemed like a good idea. However, Daniel was not able to make music that sounded anything like My Bloody Valentine and, coinciding with a Neutral Milk Hotel obsession, he bought an acoustic guitar. This worked out much better. Members have changed and that is sad, but sometimes they like to come back and play, which isn’t sad. The group allowed freedom (released) their first self-produced album entitled “Say Hello” in November of 2007 and have been writing songs ever since (and before that too). Their next album, entitled “The Sky is a Field” should be recorded and released in early Spring or really late Winter. It is going to be pretty good they think. There is no gimmick or core value of The Novel Ideas other than to have no two songs sound the same and to put on an energetic and fun live show.
We love to play lots of live shows and if you would like to plan a show with us or would like to plan a show for us we would be happy to play and help and that sort of thing!
