I aint heard a band which secrectly embodies joy divison, the editors, they dont hide the fact they follow the same path as joy divsion, but fuck me, these guys have made it your own and more, respect.... times like these i wish i wasnt musikly retarded.
Clearly nobody was watching the table that Someone's slipped the speedy
stuff in their vodka tonics and now their music just won't stay still! From
the urgent, punk pop pogo of Digital Disco, the growling bassy thrust of
Ultra Violence or Lycra-Crises disco-drive, these are some tunes to get toes,
feet shifting and heads banging (and subsequently hands reaching for the
AlkaSeltzer cos you've overdone it the night before). But it's on the
Empress of Russia that the rocks really come off (so to speak) and the band
settles into an urgent, stamping, shouty groove, perfectly judged and
exquisitely executed. Likely to incite your local indie disco to a lowkey
riot, it's nice to see The Novocaines have stepped up the pace. Let's hope
they can keep it up.

‘Isolated Love’ is an intelligent Britpopesque
gem, while ‘Heroes and Heroines’
is a great uptempo jangling party music.
Fuck the comparisons, this is tightlyplayed,
bright, shimmery guitar pop at its
glorious lo-fi best. Look out for the hidden
interjection of (live) drum&bass too:
rinse out! And refreshing in these days
of Mygeneration bands (who can’t play
live for shit). Wicked.

Wow! It's hard to choose a favorite song you've created, because they all have so much energy and a really cool vibe. But "Isolated Love" just might be my favorite.
I grew up in Tempe, Arizona. But I love it here in Washington DC because the people are so cool! So many different cultures and very intelligent people in one place. Glad you asked. Where do you guys originate?
