Mark Unkle – Bassist & Vocals: Born and raised in St. Mary’s County where he still resides. Having grown up in a family with 8 children whose dad was leader of a band for 35 years where mom occasionally helped out on vocals, there were always plenty of musical instruments lying around the house. Mark and his 4 brothers would have jam sessions in the "back room" but Mark was always attracted to the bass guitar. Through his drive and persistence (and a desperate phone call from one of his brothers at the urging of a woman named Ruth), he landed his first paying gig in 1983 with the "Cool Country Band"; the same year he graduated from high school. That band, playing predominantly country music, lasted for 18 years with Mark having played 16 of those years taking a break to play in another band. Wanting to broaden his horizons and play a variety of music, Mark worked with a few different bands over the next 5 years. Mark enjoys playing with NFB because of the variety of music and style. This is where he hopes to retire from playing although not any time soon. Some of Mark's biggest influences through the years have been Asleep At The Wheel, Danny Gatton, Brent Mason, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Ed Emery – Percussion: Originally from Baltimore but for the past 16 years has called Southern Maryland home. Got his first drum set at age 14; at 16 met a drummer who studied under Gene Krupa - at that point his enthusiasm for playing drums was carved in stone. Ed’s biggest musical influences were Zeppelin, Gene Krupa, and Buddy Rich. Ed enjoys playing the variety of music that NFB performs and is thankful for a very understanding wife who shares his musical interests.
Steve Winger – Keyboard & Vocals: Born and raised in Baltimore County. Steve's been living and playing music in Southern Md. for 20 years. He started taking piano lessons at the age of nine and joined his first band at the age of 15 and has played every weekend since. His father had a band late in the forties which his mom played the piano in also. Steve is 47 and is the newest member. He is excited to be performing with Nuttin Fancy. He likes all styles of music {except rap}. He learned to play on classical music, and then was influenced by pianist like Elton John, Billy Joel, Bruce Hornsby, Floyd Cramer, and Jonathan Cain from Journey.
Cheyenne Wilson - Cheyenne comes from a musical background. His father was a well-known singer/songwriter who passed away when Cheyenne was 9. At age 16, Cheyenne picked up a guitar, listened and learned from the radio, and immediately began writing and creating, following in his father's footsteps. At age 18, Cheyenne had a one-man show in a small bar in Springfield, VA. Soon realizing that performing by himself wasn't enough, he started the Backstreet Rhythm Band, and learned how to jam with other people. He then learned the business and professionalism side by joining The Dreamers, and working with various talent agencies, promotion companies, the Hyatt Regency Corporation for 3 years, and various marathons and television appearances. He then went back to his roots, playing in several different rock, and rhythm and blues bands, performing throughout the years in the Top 40 venues almost every weekend, while at the same time, writing and arranging behind the scenes.
