Meana Is Not Mean's Interests
|
| General | I love to eat. Food is the most amazing thing ever, and even though I'm a rather picky eater, I love it. Yum. On a more serious note, though, I love reading, writing, and watching television. Also, I'm a skater. Synchro is an amazing sport that I both suck at and love. My team, the Metroliners, is amazing! I like to do backstage work, like sound for the school plays and stuff. Techies rule! I'm a lifeguard and I guess working interests me, to a point... ok, it's only the money that I really take any likeing to, but lets at least pretend that I'm not shallow.
My other interests, I suppose, would have to include ORLANDO BLOOM, Orlando Bloom, and a few other things that I can't think of right now. | | Music | I listen to almost anything out there, really. My Ipod has everything from Mozart and Panic! At the Disco to the TIGGER song and the Spice Girls. I have quite eclectic tastes when it comes to music, as long as the cursing is kept to a minimum I honestly don't care.
Music, when you think about it, is a lot like candy- people like whatever they want, but everyone should throw away the wrappers.
| | Movies | I like most movies that I see, honestly it's rare for me to walk out of a theater and not like what I just saw...
Obviously, anything with Orlando Bloom in it amuses me. Elizabethtown and Kingdom of Heaven were both quite interesting. My favorite movies however, will always be The Lord of the Rings trilogy, though the first Pirates of the Caribbean comes closely behind. 300 was also pretty good, even if the narrator needed to die.
Like my favorite books, I like too many movies to possibly list here, so I won’t try. Instead I’ll just state that I favor the action genre and hate all James Bond movies (except for the newest one, that one amused me).
| | Television | I probably watch way more television than I should- I love quite a few TV shows. Though I do watch considerably less television than I did last year. I no longer have the time to watch my beloved CSI and I lost track of Las Vegas… It’s sad really.
Reality TV isn’t bad- I love America’s Next Top Model, Top Chef (I love Marcel), Project Runway, almost every show on Bravo, and The Amazing Race.
I also love LOST and Heroes- they’re the two shows that I just can’t get enough of. Though LOST is going downhill… It makes me sad.
Adult Swim is also a great network. Futurama, Family Guy, and Robot Chicken are all the perfect excuse to stay up all night and fall asleep in school the next day.
Then, of course, we can’t forget one of the best television shows ever- Mighty Morphing Power Rangers! I love that show, still have episodes on tape and everything. Call me and we can discuss how the rainbow ranger caused its downfall.
| | Books | I love to read. I used to do it a lot, but now I seem to lack the time to finish any books. I just start them, don’t get to read them for a week or two, and then have to start all over so I don’t forget what happened. It’s horrible.
In school, however, I have read quite a few good stories. Ok, not in any of my 4 years of English classes, but in my Traditions in World Lit elective I read lots of great stories. The epic of Gilgamesh, for example, was quite interesting. The Odyssey and The Aeneid both rocked, as did Dante’s Inferno. The Metamorphosis was interesting, though I found it to be longer than it needed to be. Also Spenser's The Faerie Queene was amazing, if you have the patience to read it all. The point really is that I love the classics. Diary of A Madman by Lu Xun especially, it was insane… literally.
The Lord of the Rings books also rocked, and they’re more modern as well. I really love too many books to list here. The point is that I love to read. The only thing that I’m not fond of is Manga- it just promotes illiteracy among America’s young people. It’s all a brilliant plan by the Japanese to take over America, really. I’d watch your back if I was you.
| | Heroes | I have no heroes, really, though quite a few historical figures are quite amazing.
ALexander the Great was rich beyond all reason- can't help but love him for that.
Stephen Douglas, the little giant, was pretty cool too. He might not have gotten the presidency, but he was still one of the few decent Americans in our history.
Hitler is also rather noteworthy- anyone can convince people to do what is right, but it takes a true genious to convince people to do what they know is wrong. He might have been crazy- but he was pretty smart.

About me:
Well my old myspace was deleted for reasons I still haven't figured out. So bear with me as I try and get this one working for me. I'll fill out all of the info things sooner or later, most likely to be later, but until then use your imagination.
I am not a Meana! I am a human being. I am a man.
P.S.- I doubt that I'll ever get around to spiffing this part up, so deal with the fact that you'll never know anything about me.
