The Oblivion Seekers are Beck Lanehart, Barney Newman, Tim Sole, Toby Bennett and John Markham.
Artists Biographies=
Beck began performing as the vocalist half of an acoustic duo in Cornwall in 1999. Since 2001 she had been gigging as a solo vocalist/guitarist in Oxfordshire until she joined the Oblivion Seekers in 2005. In the early days she performed covers by artists as diverse as Radiohead to Norah Jones. Beck fits perfectly with The Oblivion Seekers unique style of music and has fallen in love with performing original tracks to live audiences.
Tim has been involved in several bands encompassing different genres, since the mid 80..s. These include locally acclaimed bands 5 Alarm Panic, Sun BC and AC/DC Tribute TNT. Tim..s guitar playing provides a integral part of acoustic folk rock trio Oblivion Seekers.
Barney has been playing Lead, Bass & Slide Guitar and Song writing for 15 years, His previous bands include Dreamtime, Journey Into Gingerbread, Sun BC and Catfish.
He has performed at many venues around the UK including
The Marquee, The Mean Fiddler, The Old Swan & The Dome..London, Apollo..Oxford, Leamington Peace Festival, Temby Civic Hall, Bangor & Warwick University.

Formed in Spring 2005, Oblivion Seekers started as a three piece new wave acoustic Banbury based Band. Amalgamating original song writing and guitar and vocal harmonies, the trio have performed in various venues and festivals including Music at the Crossroads, Hornton Firebird Blues Festival, Deep Space Club and The Mill Arts Centre, The Jericho Tavern (Oxford) The Bullingdon Arms (Oxford) The adam and eve (Birmingham) 93 Feet East (London)
They have recorded an Album (check out tracks on www.oblivionseekers.com) as a full band and now have expanded to a 5 piece!
The Oblivions, Please note the new RecordScout.com website is live! We have so many new features all aimed at unsigned, and signed bands looking for valuable exposure. Guys, I no longer do the Acoustic Sessions show on CheshireFM but will be starting again on an internet station near you soon!!
