The Occasion is no longer active as a band.
Marlon Sporer plays in Jeremiah Rifles. Sara Shaw plays in Effi Briest. Jordi Wheeler and Charles Burst play with Mike Wexler - "Sun Wheel" is out now on Amish Records. Charles also plays in Charles Burst.
Thanks for adding me. You guys are just incredibly talented, and I was really sad to hear that you disbanded. There's no other band today that outputs music like yours. One thing that would be really awesome, though, is if I could somehow download "Sunday Afternoon?" That was a great tune, and I remember streaming some other great unreleased songs on this page a number of months ago. Thanks for keeping good music alive.
I didn't know you guys broke up. That's a bummer. I saw you open for Acid Mother in San Diego. I was hoping to catch one of your shows now that I'm on the east coast. Oh well, I guess I'll just sit in my room and stare at a wall.
Hi, how are you all doing? Could you please tell me who sings? I love his voice I just have no idea of who he is! Anyway...(to the singer) I love your voice!
Thnx so much for the add. I really enjoy the sound of your music. I especially like your song "Register My Complaints" Can't wait to hear more from you. Thanks again for the add & keep rocking!
oh dear. sorry for the lewd and lascivious earlier comment. I have ousted the demon from myspace. i swear it's not my gemini side coming out. missed you yesterday. this is a triple decker promise I'll come to your next show.xoxo
What's the plans for a new CD? anytime soon? What about new tour dates? I didn't see any new info since Aug-2006 on the offical website.
"Cannery Hours" has become one of my favorite CD's - would love to hear a new CD by you guys.
"Discovered" you at your gig at BAR in New Haven, CT in Fall-2005 with Acid Mother Temple - your live show was incredible - your noise experimentation was off-the-wall!
HEY! not to sound wierd or anything but I was on my friends computer playing with thier myspace (since i dont have an account of my own) and I saw your page :). Just looking for someone to have fun with online. I have my profile setup on this other site that is like myspace but for webcam users. You dont need one to join and its free. But you could come and watch me. I hope that dont sound slutty but its a huge turn on :) and i think after you see what i do on my cam you will be turned on too hehe. Ok anyway click here if you like my pic and want to have a bit of fun :) Im almost always online. <3 Madison

Those BBC songs sound great! It's too bad you're all never playing when I'm in town, though. It's ok, I think I'm moving here soon, so make sure you play in the fall.
Fucking excellent new sawngs, dudes!
Love "Someone else's blues". Charles, your voice is sad and breaks me. I love the contrast with the poppy bursts. That's my sweet spot: sad/happy. slow/fast. dance/smoke.
Then on top of it all, shits gets psychedelic - where can I get the CD?
