I remember the first time I heard The Ocean Blue. It was 'Between Something and Nothing' in a Sound Shop in Meridian, Mississippi in 1989 while visiting my grandmother. I asked the clerk who it was, and she told me it was The Ocean Blue. I loved it so much, I asked for it for Christmas (and got it!). I'm extremely proud to say I've been a huge fan ever since. Thank you. thank you, thank you guys for being a favorite of mine for nearly 20 years...(it's amazing how quickly the time goes by!). From the first album to Waterworks, you have remained one of my favorite bands of all time. I just can't praise TOB enough! Thanks! James Pensacola, FL
I've been working in Hershey the past 2 weeks and even worked with someone who attended a release party at Bobby's grandmother's house many many years ago.
They're straightening out the intersection by Ziegler's antique barn!
It's the season I love putting on a few of your albums. Great to hear you anytime. Only caught you once live (right after Oed started touring without Steve) but am dying to catch it again.
hey guys. in case you read this, you might get a kick out of the reference... i was in Camelot record store circa 1989 and Drifting, Falling was playing in the store's tape deck and my first reaction was that this sounds like a British version of R.E.M. and i had to have that tape... and to think that all of these years later you are still my favorite band... thanks so much for your great work and look forward to hearing more.
Hey guys, Been a fan for a long time and I hope you tour the New England area someday, like Toad's Place or the Webster Theater. Missed you by two months when you were in Peru, woud have loved to have been at that show. Keep the music going!
1992, spring break, myrtle beach...first time i heard you and remember vividly the atmospheric tone of cerulean flowing out of a boom box on the beach. Hooked ever since! Thanks for such memories...timeless inspiration, andy
