In the winter of 2002 two kids, Arturo and Vittorio, followers of the Brit-rock, meet by chance in a music club. Only a voice and a guitar.....but the dream of Oceans has just born. After few days the band is complete. The five boys begin to play in various pub and club of their own town provoking a good interest but also causing disturbance and brawls in the places where they perform(famous the mega-brawl in the pub “braveheart”, the first gig ended after two songs when the police arrived to block the “fighters” on stage). But that was the first of many more!! That was the reason why in the end of 2004 the band split up, and everything seems already lost and gone.
But in the spring of 2006 Vittorio and Arturo meet again in a pub of the city, and as the first time, the understanding between the guys pushes them to take back.
The new band brought in Luca Landi , bassist and Vittorio mate.
In October 2006 Oceans perform at “Rock Festival of University” in L'Aquila. The performance is great and pushes them to make serious projects.
The first demo ,recorded in November 2006, includes three tracks: echoic memories, it’s just rock ’n’ roll, orange clouds. The demo likes a lot and the band is required by a lot of radio.
In January 2007 the radio station of Turin "Radio Gibson Music" ask for an interview with the vocals Arturo and the lead guitar Vittorio to present their brand new demo.
The Band reaches London ‘coz Stuart Morrison, the chief of "Insomnia radio U. K.", really appreciates the songs, and by e-mail expressly asks to broadcast the songs:-So Oceans songs play in the Britain’s capital from February 2007!
On the Insomnia Radio website the band receives excellent reviews and opinions: so very soon, they are elected best new-coming band of the month.
All this in just 7 mouths only…Job ,will and wisdom.
After many shitholes, cooks and useless guys in the band ,jonathan(drummer) and giovanni (guitarist)
join the band to stay for real and play indeed.
That was only the beginning……….the first seven mouths……..
