   About The Oddlots
What/Who are The Oddlots? Well, that's a good question. It seems like every band has a web site with some standard, form-fit biography; a mini behind the music if you will. I am just gonna start writing and hope that what comes out makes a bit of sense.

Who we are is easy to answer. Scott Gilchrist is the drummer, Joe Gumbert vocals/guitar, TJ Johnson vocals/guitar and Eric Pavlack plays the bass. Nothing too different from your normal four piece.

What we are is a little more difficult to answer. We all have common influences like The Beatles and Elliott Smith, but we have different favorites too. Scott used to play in a Celtic drum corp, Joe is big into Leo Kotke and has a soft spot for Soul Coughing, Eric listens to a lot of old Velmas and U2, TJ knows every Wilco song ever written. But everyone has influences right? If you want to hear what we sound like, download some of our songs, heck download our latest entire album, its free!

The Oddlots can really be summed up in one word......Diversion. You see we are just four guys from Indianapolis with other stuff going on besides music. We have different careers and some have families. But once a week we gather in TJ's basement and practice these songs. Sometimes we play at a bar or nightclub, sometimes we record our music and sell/give some cds to our family and friends. If we never recorded another song, or never played in front of people again, we would still go down to TJ's basement once a week and play these little tunes. Its our diversion. I guess if in some way we can provide you with a little diversion, for a minute or two, if you come see us live, or listen to a couple songs then we'll be happy....and hopefully so will you. Thanks for visiting our site.

No, Niles has not worked with anyone as big as the Crazy Doggs, but you need to tell joe that he needs to write a song as good as The Doggy Bounce, and you will fill up Giant Stadium. Apparently that's where Giants play...You heard it here from Niles first. I know what's right for you blokes. Now, off to do body shots from the belly of a groupie named Shelly.

I just realized that Niles is the original Murray! Niles never worked for the new zealand consulate, though, but other than that...

Hot rocks last night, boys. Hot rocks. I've recieved my 93% commission, and will probably be giving you your 7% commission to split amongst yourselves however you see fit sometime next week. Since joe writes the songs, maybe he should get a little more, but that's neither here nor there. You can work that out in a band meeting. I'll be with the groupies in the jacuzzi.

Hey bitches,
I guess I'm the only one in charge of leaving comments here. I guess being your manager isn't the only thing I have to do for you liquor soaked fools.
