This is the official home of the world famous ebay hawk dog.
The story:
It all started over a few beers on the eve of NFC Championship game. Three friends were chatting about "ineresting" items that have been featured on ebay. Thats when the brainstorming session began.
Just for gits and shiggles we decided to smuggle a hot dog out of the stadium and post an auction to see what would happen.
After 1 day the weiner hit $4.25 and we were excited. On the second day of the auction we hit the front page of the local paper. We were thrilled. By the end of the day the high bid was around $75.
The next day we all had to pinch ourselves to make sure this wasn't a dream!
Emails came pouring in and news had traveled across the U.S. and beyond.
KOMO 4 news, the local ABC network affiliate, came out and interviewed Matt and Stacey. Soon we couldn't go anywhere without hearing people talking about our auction. At a local dining establishment, through a cell phone call, we heard the high bid was at $1,200. I made a fool of myself by doing a happy dance.
So many people are emailing the auction site and we appreciate every single one of them. Unfortunately, our limits on posting replies have been breeched.
So now you can all get your two bits in.

A percentage of the winnings are now being donated to the Grant Wistrom Foundation!
Mission:
The Grant Wistrom Foundation works to positively affect the lives of children, especially those with cancer, through fun and recreational activities. With these efforts, the foundation hopes to provide the opportunity for lifelong friendships and personal growth.
UPDATE 2/2/06
We were excited to be able to donate thousands of dollars to a very worthy cause once the auction hit $5000. Obviously many of the bids were fake.
The three of us are all in our mid-twenties and don't have "disposable incomes", but we see this as quite the opportunity to raise awareness and to be able to give to The Grant Wistrom Foundation. Now our donation pales in comparison to what might have been, we are very proud to do what we can!
Thank you to everyone who has written us emails, watched the auction, and talked about this auction with your friends and families. No matter what the outcome of this whole ordeal, this has been extremely fun!
Our 15 minutes of fame is coming to an end, but the memories will last forever! It warms our hearts to know that millions of people have been a part of this crazy ride. Thank you all!
