"It's menacing sex kitten allure with fuzzed-out guitar and punked-up retro rock - Dita Von Teese meets Jerry Lee Lewis."
- Doug Hill, POP Magazine 2006
"The Oklahoma City band drips vintage style and attitude on stage, and though Elvis has been dead for decades, and the movie "Faster Pussycatt! Kill! Kill!" is fading into obscurity, the Oh Johnny! Girls rock on."
- Charles Martin, OK Gazette 2006
"Soon-to-be-huge Oklahoma City rockabilly band..."
-George Lang, The Oklahoman May 2006
The Oh Johnny! Girls oozed their way into the Oklahoma music scene in the hot summer of 2005. By the Summer of 2006, they had made their way into the hearts of the metro area rockers with the release of their debut album, "You Should've Known," a fierce set of 10 original songs which can be purchased at shows or online at www.theohjohnnygirls.com.
THE OH JOHNNY! GIRLS WIN A 2008 WOODY AWARD FOR PEOPLE'S CHOICE!!
"Gazette readers can't get enough of The Oh Johnny! Girls' retro-rock flair, which easily carried away this year's People's Choice category with a resounding majority of votes.
In 2006, they won the Woody Award for Best Emerging Artist, and have continued to impress area audiences ever since with a charming mix of quirky country, rockabilly, and Sixties pop style.
Whether performing at a bowling alley, car show, art exhibit or in a barn or barroom, The Oh Johnny! Girls is an easy-to-love, high-energy act known for a steam locomotive of a live show!"

Catch
That Rockabilly Fever by Sheree Homer is a candid account of life on the
road and in the studio with '50s legends and today's talent. These are personal
stories told by the artists themselves. It's a soft cover biography that will
be published in October 2009 by McFarland Publishers and retail for $39.95. It
will have never before seen photos (strictly 1950's photos of the legends) and
rare stories from the artists themselves. Catch
That Rockabilly Fever will be approximately 350 pages in length. It will be
unlike any other rockabilly book on the market since it will include some of
today's hottest young talent plus insightful stories from 1950's backing
musicians and engineers for the first time, such as James Kirkland (Bob Luman,
Ricky Nelson), Richie Frost (Ricky Nelson), Steve Handford (Bobby Lee
Trammell), Tony Austin (Rock and Roll Trio), Stanley Walker (Ray Smith), Bobby
Poe (Wanda Jackson), Vernon Sandusky (Big Al Downing) and Bob Sullivan
(KWKH/Louisiana Hayride). Foreword by acclaimed writer Ken Burke.
These forty-six artists will have individual profiles and one
glamorous photo per musician: Glen Glenn, Lew Williams, Art Adams, Elvis
Presley, Ricky Nelson, Bob Luman, Ed Bruce, Dickey Lee, Jack Earls, Hayden
Thompson, Maddox Brothers and Rose, Sonny Burgess, Carl Mann, Ray Smith, Johnny
Powers, Larry Donn, Pat Cupp, Ronnie Hawkins, Bobby Lee Trammell, Huelyn
