This is the story of The Oh La Las and how the debut album, Songs From the Third Floor, came into life.
The two friends Oskar Nyman and Joel Isaksson, both with a strong passion for good music in general, started writing melodramatic pop/folk songs in winter 2008. Though the songs were written during the dark and cold winter in Finland, the recording session was at an early point decided to be held in summer.
As the sun finally returned to Finland, bass player Egon Veevo and drummer Anders Salin were invited to form The Oh La Las. The recordings were done at a small cottage in the Finnish archipelago on some of summer's finest days. It was a great and relaxed experience and the result of those fine moments is Songs From the Third Floor.
