She finally made it to the stage and although learning a few chords from her father, was able to keep up in the music world, always going forward writing and composing songs. Due to the demand for bass players she decided to go “cold turkey” one night and never looked back. Karen fell comfortably into the instrument. Her biggest influences are bassist Victor Wooten and Paul McCartney. Karen can funk, plunk and walk with the best of the big boys and is not afraid to show it. Reviews from fans have said that Karen has a strong/sultry voice and that she is a strong guitar player as well as a bassist. She has jammed on stage with Joe Bonamassa in Omaha and Brad Cordle from Las Vegas just to name a few greats. She has two sons, Ben and Neil, and a granddaughter Haley.******************************************************************
