In the Triangle, there are hundreds of bands playing shows out here and there. Of those, there are scores and scores of really good groups. So picking my top 15-20 is difficult, not that it really matters for anything or anyone but myself.
But if I were jointly putting a compilation cd together to represent the region, I can tell you it'd be really difficult. And, hahaha, not just because I'm a Virgo!
So when The Old Ceremony was selected as one of just 17 artists to be featured on the HEAR HERE Compilation cd for North Carolina's Triangle region, I know they got that right. And "Gone Go the Memories" is another TOC fave of mine. Congratulations, Django, and all of The Old Ceremony!
I would be happier than you can imagine if you guys came back to the Blacksburg/Floyd area at a time that isn't Floydfest, since I'm not sure I'll be able to go.
one at the pour house on a feb. 15th--no stated year. what got me was how striking the graphics were/are: it's of a girl in bed with a doll, done at a dutch angel; small print at the bottom reads: "tie a red ribbon around the neck..." i'll make sure to check you guys out live next chance i get. love your sound.
Thanks to all of you in The Old Ceremony! The music sounds great. Gotta love any band with a great violin and a guy named Django in it. All the best to you. Andy Fein Fein Violins FineViolins.com
Thanks to you, I have now had "Papers in Order", "Radio Religion" and "Tender Age" running through my head for three whole days ... and I'm loving it! I can't wait till you play IOTA in June!
It's a shame that show is 21+ though ... I wanted to bring my music major brother to show him how cool you are!
Hey guys, ya'll were great at the show on Saturday. I was really glad to hear you bring back American Romeo... it's one of my favorites from the first CD and I'm glad I finally got to see it live.
I really enjoyed the new remix CD that I got from you guys. I felt sorry for Dan though considering most of his parts were cut for a drum machine. That being said, it was pretty well done and a lot of the songs sounded really good though I don't think any of the remixes were better than the original product.
Take care... I hope to see you guys at the Cat's Cradle!
