i miss y'all. first show in Louisiana, second show in North Carolina. it's only fair that you come back to Louisiana again soon. keep the cycle going! i hope y'all find a home for the new cd soon. i'm anxious. sounds fantastic live.
deej - did anybody ever call you that? kind of like Full House? - hope you and yours are well and enjoying a full, rich and robust summer of man smells in your touring coach.
I'm not up to much, really. I've been home for too long now (first year at university is now finished - I get to live with NICE people next year!) and am getting pretty sick of it all. Having to do a lot of work for my dad, not fun. Pretty low on cash at the minute, too. Yeuck. On the plus side, I got to see Beck recently and - while a lot of people I know don't like him - he was amazing. Had Ben Folds the week before (what the hell was that guy smoking, not getting back to you?) and he was pretty good, too, but not his best...
Off to France on Monday with Alice, then a rollercoaster of a summer (where nothing planned seems to be concrete, but there seems to be a lot of it...). Almost looking forwards to going back to uni. At least I can eat entire cheesecakes without being told off by my mum there...
Heard on the grapevine that Guillemots may be doing a bit of a US tour later this year. Just fired them off an e-mail, telling them to meet up with you guys on the road.
dear gentleman, you were troopers on the 4th! Great entertainment- love the new songs. Missed the fireworks, but who needed them with the sparks at the show? P. S. Would have loaned you rose 's socks but I figured they were the wrong size - she has big feet;-) much love, heather
awesome show at the pour house and good chatting before the show django. Always always always great to here some fresh sounds from a local band. Will definitely be looking for your shows in the area now. Thanks again.
Gentlemen, I didn't think it was possibly to top saturday night, but Sunday was brilliant. I have to say, I haven't had that much fun wet in years. It was truly magical. p.s. I hope your equipment has recovered.
That was a fantastic show last night- definitely, one of the most fun ones I've been to! My regards to the fantastic guest musician as well. p.s. That was a fantastic scarf too;->
My friend Melissa saw you all in concert in Chapel Hill and turned me on to your music. She also is a friend of Kim's (we all went to Stetson together) - anyway, she figured out the connection there.
Nonetheless, love your music, hope to see you all perform live sometime!
Hey there :-) I found out that you're opening for Squirrel Nut Zippers in NYC this Friday night. I saw you play near Philadelphia one time and I am looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow.
