About me:

Old Ironsides is a family owned nightclub, bar & restaurant. It all started back in 1934 with Papa Bill Bordisso obtaining the first liquor license in Sacramento after Prohibition. In the swinging sixties, Sam & Billee Jean Bordisso Kanelos came into the business and heralded in the glory years of "the cocktail hour", 5 martini lunches by area politicians, judges & state workers as well as operating the Old Ironsides Bottle Shop (liquor store). In the 1990's the next generation stepped in and convinced Mama and Papa Kanelos to turn the joint into a nightclub. It continually hosts the best in local and national and international touring acts. During the day we serve deeeeelicious lunches Monday thru Friday 11-2pm. Alive & Kicking presents live music Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays as well as the occasional Sunday and Monday. Tuesday nights host the popular & packed LIPSTICK indie rock, pop & electronic dance party with djs Shaun Slaughter & Roger Carpio, 8 years & running. $2 Pints from 9-11pm! ALWAYS $2 PBRS!
