Just by the title of this biography, you're probably thinking, "Who is this cat?" Is he the new Genesis of Rap, The New Icon of Hip-Hop Deepness, The God of Rap Theory, The Black Hole of Rap Infinity Trapped In the Human Context, or Is he The Grio Before Neo?" To answer this question, he is a bit of all of the above with something for everybody who loves the art of Hip Hop Music.
As a true Hip-Hoppa, Theologic blazed on to the scene in 1997 as a member of the rap group The Maroons. The group released a hot single called “Maroon Mist” that earned good airplay in South West Michigan. The group evolved into a band called The Maroon Camp, which toured locally and released an EP. Due to the urge to explore his own creative interests, Theologic ventured out on his own in 2001 and released his first solo album called Redemption. The Redemption project was well-received and opened up opportunities to perform in Detroit, New York, Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo, and Africa. He shared the stage with artists such as Changing Faces, Dick Gregory, Black Bottom Collective, and A.M.L (Athletic Mic League). Despite these accomplishments, Theologic feels that he has yet given his best to Hip-Hop, which brings forth his next release to the frontier.
In efforts to generate a timeless piece of Hip-Hop Music, Theologic took 2 years to prepare what he considers, his masterpiece entitled the Inner World. The album invites the listener into a mystical place in existence. This place is the deeper part of the human spirit that contains rooms like Joy, Love, Pain, and Victory, all housed under one roof of 15 blazing tracks. While he himself handles much of the production, Theologic also employs beat heavy weights Jae-ss, Che' Nazzarith, and IWright to assist with production. Also, Skillful, 14kt from A.M.L, Sun, and Jewelz add to the bowl of lyrical soup. The songs range from flat out soulful to just raw, and everywhere in between. No matter what room you find yourself in, the entire house of music just rocks with dope lyrics from start to finish.
