Xtreme Couture Chicago would like to announce its first inaugural No-Gi Grappling tournament to take place Saturday, March 7th, 2009.
Due to the recent unfortunate cancellation of the Titan Grappling tournament and the postponement of the Primetime FC fight card, we know many athletes are hungry for competition experience, and currently have no venue to pursue that. To fill that need, we are hosting a grappling tournament.
The tournament will be double elimination, with 4 weight classes and 3 divisions and only $15 for pre-registration ($25 at the door). We will have 4 matches going at the same time, so the tournament will go quickly.
In addition to the normal classes, we will have an absolute division. It will be open to the winner of each respective division for free, and $10 extra for anyone else with a limit of a 32 athlete bracket, single elimination, with the winning athlete taking $5 of each participants registration fee (i.e. 50 students register, winner of ABSOLUTE bracket wins $250).
We are very excited about this and feel it is a great way to get the MMA/BJJ community involved with each other in addition to adding valuable competition experience to beginner and advanced players alike.
