Sounds Like
"Intelligent lyrics, catchy mid-tempo songs and ballads."
"Ten solid rockin' tunes and they all have something to say; Thinking man's music." Brian Hazelbower.
"Theo's Trio" takes an acoustic approach to live performing and sounds like nothing you've ever heard before. From mild to major amplification to none at all. Original songs that have been compared to John Hiatt, Melencamp and Bob Seger, cover songs from artist as diverse as Leonard Cohen to Cage the Elephant, Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen.
Theo also performs as a soloist at various restaurants, public events, lounges, taverns and house concerts. Check the up coming performances.
Theo Massop is a west coast Canadian singer songwriter whose musical journey has taken him from church choirs to dance halls, night clubs, festivals and concert venues. His previous album "Voyager" gained him three charting singles in Canada, critical acclaim and international radio play.
"Choices" has been broad-casted on CBC radio, western European radio and community radio across Canada gaining chart numbers on various alt-country, americana and folk rock shows. A veteran performer and entertainer as a soloist or with a band, Theo is known for engaging the audience with thought provoking songs mingled with music of shear joy.
Tom Harrison of the Vancouver Province newspaper said, "Massop is an able folk/pop writer. His songs have a contemporary polish and a measure of sophistication. He writes homilies with a rock edge whose wisdom occasionally hits the ground like a hundred pound rail."
Hey Theo how are ya? Wow Thanks buddy for the greatest Compliment! I really appreciate the feedback. I'm a fan of Theo too! He sings songs that have substance to them and real meaning. Lyrics that make you think and some songs that are just for the fun of it. Very good entertainer and always spreads good Karma to his audience which makes you feel like a family member. He's one of a kind Check him out and see for yourself. Ed Anderson

Hi Theo. We haven't met yet - but perhaps we will bump into each other on Vancouver Island soon. Let me know if you are going to be in the mid-island (Campbell River and area) at some point. I had a chance to listen to the songs you have posted and enjoyed them a lot. Come on over to my page for a visit, give a listen and leave a comment if you wish. Best regards, Ken
