Review: The O>Matics: "Atomic Years"
These earthly ears hear at least four catchy singles on this outing by the trio of nerds in outer space-themed O>Matic "brothers" (in the Ramones sense, I think). "Close Call" would be a smash on late '60s AM hit radio. "Senior Prom" is American Graffiti makeout music on quaaludes. "Energy" could have been recorded by late '70s-era Sparks. Finally, "Smile" sounds like a great Replacements tune, and they had a lot of great ones. I know absolutely nothing about this band, family or whoever they are except that they make interesting, catchy garage-pop with lots of variety. - C.A. Carlino
The O>matics are a high energy rock band that is almot undefinable. Taking almost every different genre and making it their own, The O>matics have an appeal to many different types of music fans of all ages and tastes. Formed in 2000 by Mark and Chris O>matic and later joined in 2002 by Jamie O>matic the trio have released 4 self produced full length CDS including: Playing Music (2001), Solar~Lunar Collection Volume 1: Solar (2002), and Solar~Lunar Collection Volume 2: Lunar (2003), and now out, the long awaited "Atomic Years". The new CD features live show favorites "Energy" (an 80's style new wave song) and "Yeah Yeah" (a quirky crowd participation anthem). Atomic Years is now available at our shows and at the following stores: Vintage Vinyl in Fords, NJ, Jack's Music Shoppe in Red Bank, NJ, Game Zone in East Brunswick, NJ, and Champion Ship Records in Lemoyne, PA.

Greetings Do excuse the 'spam', but I have three new songs up on the page, each from a different upcoming album.
One from the sleepers / hellmouth split, which will be out in the next few weeks on cassette from Marygarden Tapes.
One from the first full length Sleepers album (along with the other two 'untitled' songs), also coming out on Marygarden, but on CD.
One from the collaboration album between Sleepers and Jason "EVIL" Covelli, with all words and voice by Jason, and all sounds and editing from myself.
I have been working endlessly on new material for Sleepers, and I am very excited for the progression of this project. I believe it may have even taken over Bicycle Sighs' place as my 'main' project. A lot of the albums listed on the page are still seeking homes, but I do believe I will be able to maintain a solid and consistent output, as Sleepers has unlocked something deep inside of my mind.
I am, as always, still seeking out new collaborators, in aural, literary, and visual additions.
This comment brought to you by the ancient and beloved Control + V ; may all friend adders, automated comments, and Myspace whore-bands in general be damned to eternal suffering and darkness.
that's the link to the album for the Omatics part of the show, I didn't edit anything yet, but I figured it was about time to let you see em! So let me know which specific ones you may want to post before you do ok? I will get the calamity ones up asap I swear!
