Taking their name from every pop-fan's favourite movie "That Thing You Do!", The O'Neders got themselves together after long chat about power pop at a birthday party in February. Carpo suddenly said "You know, I've always wanted to start a Power Pop covers band".. and Jadey, Billy and Casey's eyes lit up at the thought. Within the week, Eddie was onboard as well and we were all begging for our favourite songs to be on the set list!
Featuring members of great pop bands like The Pyramidiacs, The Reservations, Jane vs World and Sliced Bread, The O'Neders are Australia's first power pop covers band and play all of your favourite power pop classics as well as lots of "bup bups", "doo doos" and "aum-dot didits!"
Guys - that was just a brilliant show last Saturday...I never thought in my life I would hear such a glorious live rendition of Care of Cell 44! Huge congrats... and Hi Bill! cheers Mark
Excellent Saturday afternoon, she said she said. That's it, I'm joining the O'Neders fanclub with my friends : ) Cheers from the girl in the Jellyfish t-shirt.
Well guys - we've heard that Saturday's show was an absolute corker [thanks Regina : ] Unfortunately we had a gig ourselves and couldn't make it...we'll be sure to come to the next one! cheers www.bangshangalang.com
Thanks for a most enjoyable Saturday afternoon, guys. Great songs, beautiful harmonies, just had to sing along! Haven't been able to get "Care Of Cell 44" and "Precious To Me" out of me head ; ) since Sat. Will definitely be back for the next one!
Loved it, loved it, loved it. Nothing cheers me up more than seeing MC back there at the drums, his huge grin lighting up the stage, while he does what he does so well, and obviously loves so much. It's an honour and a privilege to be entertained by such talented folk. Brilliant gig from the O'Neders... more, please!!!
