The OBGMs Do BK Pt. 1
As longtime friends who first met through their sisters, the dynamic duo began their music venture aiming to burst into the hip hop scene. Starting out with faulty computers in a small apartment bedroom, the two spent countless hours producing music, with ambitions of making it big.
As time went on, their style began to evolve. Densil picked up a guitar, and forced Cola to take his drumming more seriously with the desire to form a rock band to revolutionize the industry.
The two paired off and scouted new members to fulfill the vision. After going through several candidates, they came to the realization that no one they found shared their musical perspective. It was at this point they came to the conclusion that it would be appropriate to stay as a duo.
In mid-2008, the oOohh Baby Gimme Mores began performing around Toronto at various venues; including Sound Academy, El Mocambo, and The Rivoli, to name a few. After which, they continued working on their very first EP, with fast paced drumming, grungy guitar, and high powered vocals. Their EP is set to release early July, 2009.
The OBGMs Do BK Pt. 2
That was a great set at The Horseshoe. Erupting with driving swells of energy, this duo deliver a hyperkinetic combination of rock, soul, and punk infused with an urban sensibility and street edge. Invoking smatterings of The Carps, Living Colour, & Rage Against The Machine, OBGM’s frenzied drumming combined with garage-metal riffs results in a blistering rhythmic assault that puts the smoke in Afro Punk.
We are just a sportswear brand! We have basic tees and skate decks available in this line-up and we are trying just to sell to retailers at this point. There will be shoes and clothing down the road.
As far as sports are concerned, we are supporting many varieties, we just happened to start off with skateboarding products.
We are supporting arts and athletes, so with the skate mix we are able to support musicians and give them another outlet to be heard. The skate mix will not be for sale, it will be distributed through our web site (www.lwbmsport.com) and possibly with any new product sold.
I hope this helps answer some questions, if you have any more just HOLLA!
Send your track(s) to sales@lwbmsport.com with the title, group/artist name, a few words about the song, and you might be mixing it up on the streets with a few new listeners!
