This is the OFFICIAL OPERATION myspace page. Already making headlines in the US, The Operation are a young, three-piece power trio in the true sense of the phrase. While the ever irreverent HITS magazine calls them “Young, loud Brit Pop with US radio sensibility," and the legendary industry trade Radio and Records says The Operation is, “Brit Pop the way it was meant to be... it’s Oasis for the myspace generation," the ever-growing number of fans for the UK based group are already hooked. Hailing from the town of Bath in the southwest of England, with influences ranging from classic British rock to modern day alternative and pop, these three talented artists have carved themselves a very distinct niche, in the ever-changing UK music scene. Having played hundreds of shows throughout the UK not only headliners, but as support to some of Britain's top name artists, The Operation have also performed on many of the UK’s top seasonal music festivals. At an average age of just 21, Alex, Oli and Nick have been described in the music press as a cross between “early SUPERGRASS and mid era THE WHO". As all of their material is self-produced, the band prides themselves in having an incredibly loyal, and rapidly growing fan base. The Operation are: Alex Veale (guitar, lead vocal), Oli Court (drums. vocals) and Nick Wilton (bass. vocals).
