"driving upside down on a giant
sled on a brick road, surrounded by fat old people that were all black
and white." - Ben Fee
..."I want to say again that your songs are epic in a way that is connected with people and is not far away epic. Epic in a way that takes the listener somewhere when they listen to the songs. Thats cool!" - Ben Lucal
From the time they could sound out notes and move their fingers, Danny
and Noelle, an ambitious sibling duo, began crafting music in
basements and attics with the hometown heroes of Waltham,
Massachusetts. With his second-hand drum set, Danny began his descent
into the world of Boston hardcore, playing with several local bands
while Noelle spent all her time recording pop songs in her
neighbor’s home recording studio.
Those songs would eventually generate the mildly successful
record, “From the Attic”, launching the career of a
band called Damone.
Noelle had made it around the world and back yet was still unsatisfied with her progress. She suddenly up and left without warning, off on an enlightening journey deep in the woods of Vermont to find her soul and purpose. She returned home with a broadened perspective of life and a sense of purpose.
Back under the city lights, on a night of swinging and dancing in the
midst of the chaotic scene, beer and whiskey flung high across the
night sky and music pierced the air with a sense of childish freedom.
Reconvening in the attic of their childhood home with their friend
Sean, a virtuoso renowned for his talent, Danny and Noelle,
brought to life a collection of songs that Noelle
had written inspired by the melodramas of life as an angstful, suburban youth. The trio began collaborating
musically, introducing her organic, whimsical melodies to the
percussive and gritty fervor that would become the blue print for The
Organ Beats.
Emerging onto the Boston rock scene, the three-piece encountered a
Texan named Rebel. Destined to fill the rhythmic void and complete
the band’s evolution. Her fiery rhythms and elegant melodies fused the deep
silence.
In mind's eye a spotlight had affixed on the four of them. There were
no questions. There was no doubt. They knew it was time
to begin their musical feat.
The Organ Beats became top priority and it evolved pretty quickly. "I was ready to embark on anew and just dove right in." - Noelle talks about making their record Sleep When We Are Dead - "We recorded in Texas so naturally it was a party... in the midst of all the hard work, of course. It only took a couple weeks. Danny and Rebal nailed their tracks down then I locked myself away for eight days or so with a bag of weed and proceeded to make magic happen."
The songs are about love, insecurity, optimism, depression, motivation & strength. There is definitely a vibe that only indie power-pop can supply but Noelle seems confident that nothing is holding this band back from being something influential. "Music is the only thing I can focus on, I just can't seem to shake it."
The record is short and sweet, the music is dynamic and flows spaciously through the melodies and crunchy guitars that emit from the speakers. "My music has mostly been influenced by bands like Weezer and My Bloody Valentine. I am also hugely inspired by friends and the people I've worked with over the years."
Now they're ready share their music with the world and Thus their quest begins.

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
