.. Welcome to the official myspace of the Flying Pickets, the ground breaking acappella group. Their vocal rendition of Yazoo's "Only You" was a Christmas number one hit in the U.K. in 1983, staying at the top spot for five weeks, and enjoying similar success all over Europe. Their second single, "When You're Young and In Love", reached number seven soon after, and the group went on to worldwide acclaim, touring Europe, Australia and the US. In 1986 the originals started to leave the band while being replaced. The last of the originals David Brett, left the band in 1990, and since then the band continued to tour on the number of 80 concert per year and to record albums. In 1994 the originals David, Ken, Brian, Stripe and Gareth regrouped to record another album, "The Original Flying Pickets : Volume One (Warner Brothers)". The last published album is Everyday, 2004 (in-akustik).
