About The Hoovers

Biography

Originally from London, England and now living in the San Francisco, Bay area, The Hoovers are the musical equivalent of sticking ten ferrets down your trousers! Their critically acclaimed debut album "Skin and Blisters" received rave reviews throughout the U.S. and led to lead singer Paul Whiting moving from his home in London to the warmer climes of the Bay Area. He brought with him his distinctive accent and a wicked sense of humor to create a California ska band with all the energy and bluster of British ska bands such as Madness and The English Beat.
