Just like the title of KENNY'S Previous International Criticially Acclaimed Album; "THE REAL & ORIGINAL KENNY WAYNE & HIS VERY SPECIAL GUEST - VOLUME I - BORNED WITH THE BLUES & RAISED ON ROCK N' ROLL" suggest; KW really was! For starters, he was Not born in a hospital in the near by Twin Cities of Texarkana,Texas/Arkansas. He was delivered by a local country doctor that did house visits, from Maud, which was 5 miles up West Highway 67, on a hot October 6th., Saturday afternoon in the very small counrty town of Redwater, Texas on the bed in his parents tiny two room house. Of which, that his Daddy (Nicknamed "Possum") had self-crafted a few years earlier on a little piece of land that was a wedding present to his daddy and mama from his daddy's Father Razz' and Mother Myrtle and was located about 100 yards next to their house. Unfortunately it was a small humble abode with no electricity, no gas, and no runnin' water. Therefore since there was no electric current, that certainly ment no T.V. Thus the only form of "KENNY WAYNE'S" entertainment was a small Montogmery Wards AM radio powered by a 6 Volt automotive battery. Talk about having to be born black to have to be "Borned With The Blues!" That is "The Blues!!" Black or White! Speaking of which; why do those adjectives have to always apply? In other words: Why is simple poor folks food (I.E. Pork chops, fried chicken, fish, ribs, neckbones, pickled pig feet, grits, pinto beans, blackeyed peas, and hot water cone' bread ) always have to be called soul food? " K.W." was raised on that type food! His daddy "E.K." and "Mama Corene" (by the way her name is considered a "Black" name too!) both just like "Kenny Wayne"are "White!!"
