The O R I G I N A L S came to life in SecondLife during summer 2008. A travelling group of varying artists. The premise is original thought, live and quality music. The brainchild of POL Arida & The Shippe who wanted to get more original music to the masses of SL! A selection of some of SL's finest live musicians performing all original sets at various venues around the Grid!
Following on from hugely successful events in 2008 we have stepped things up a notch for 2009, with much longer and bigger events and live broadcasts on INDIESPECTRUM RADIO and lots more new and exciting things still to come. This month we are at The INDIESPECTRUM RADIO Waterfront Stage to celebrate 2yrs of IndieSpectrum being on air broadcasting SL musicians original music!
The O R I G I N A L S are broadcast live each month on INDIESPECTRUM Radio so you can tune in, in or out of world http://www.indiespectrum.com!
Everyone is welcome to join The ORIGINALS group in world and all musicians are invited to post notices for original shows they are performing (just IM Harrie in world for perms to post notices) and everyone can announce original music via group IM!
To join the group in world, search The ORIGINALS under groups or paste this link into chat, click on it and join from there!

Did you know there is a thriving live music scene, with concerts every day and night of the week! Musicians of all calibre and genres stream live performances into Secondlife to virtual music venues packed with avatars (all real people the other side of their computer screens) from around the world! If you are a musician and would like to start performing live in Second Life, but dont know how, just drop us an email and we will help you out!
Just want to hear some great live music, then sign up to Second Life, look up 'live music' in search and start teleporting (yes you can do that and anything else you can think of in SL) around until you hear something you like! We are sure you will then be back for more!!

Here's wishing you luck for the first ORIGINALS showcase on Sunday! I wish I could be there, and plan to be for a subsequent show (ironically, I'm in the studio recording original music on 3/22).
