The Swamp Kings are a three piece Swamp Blues and Cajun Boogie band with its home based in the upper Mississippi River backwaters of Minnesota.
Guitar and vocalist Tom Harkness and bass guitar and vocalist Matt Page formed The Swamp Kings in 2006 after performing 10 years in The Zen Garage Band. Drummer Connor "Cannon" McRae joined the band in 2007 taking the drum throne from Jesse Nelson. Cannon is well known for his knowlege of drums and his vibrant drumming style. He also works at Ellis Drum Shop in St. Paul.
In 2007 The Swamp Kings played over 50 shows and proved to fans and clubs they are serious about having a good time with their music. The band is working on recording their first original album and will be featured at several music festivals in 2008. Check The Swamp Kings live show calendar for their performance schedule.
