   About THE OTHER ELEMENT

Welcome to the official MySpace page for THE OTHER ELEMENT, a progressive rock fusion trio from the western suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. Their original instrumental music features tight, funky grooves and melodic and lyrical guitar jams. At live shows, the band noticeably turns up the intensity and offers up blistering renditions of their songs that are always evolving and open to interpretation and improvisation. They'll also throw in a few covers of classic jazz fusion, funk, psychedelic rock, and prog-rock and guitar jam favorites.

Playing shows all over the Philly area and beyond in support of their debut album released in 2007, the trio has earned the reputation as one of hardest jammin' groups on the local instrumental music scene. There's no doubt that they rock, but do so without alienating fans of more contemporary rock, modern jazz and popular music. The Other Element is able to weave their eclectic styles into a range of diverse musical concepts that appeal to anyone who's got a strong sense of rhythm, appreciates fine musicianship and composition and needs to try something different.

They've played gigs at The Trocadero Theatre, Grape Street, Dr. Watson's Pub, The North Star, Chaplin's Music Cafe, The Nail, The Fire, Whiskey Dix, Sweeney's, Fat Baby NYC, Tritone, Crazy Carl's, Bar Noir and others... If you dig a serious groove and musicianship that turns heads, you have to check this band out live! From rock to jazz, prog to funk and all that is in between....if there is a groove...The Other Element will find it and make it their own. Keep checking back here for band news, show dates and new music! Feel the Fusion!

Hey guys. Just stopping by to say hello. I plan on trying to make the Nail show in April.

I have the drums done for 6 of my tunes. I have 4 left. Once they are all finished I will start recording the Guitars and Bass for my CD. I just need a band now for live gigs.

DREAMSCAPE

Feb 17 2009 8:13 PM

hi iam wolfgang the guitarist of dreamscape.
i believe this is a magical world:

Anatole France:
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.

Frank Lloyd Wright:
The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen.

but: Andre Gide:
Believe those who are seeking the truth; doubt those who find it.

kind regards!
