My tastes tend to wander a bit so that if it was anyone else you'd wonder, but with me people just "well that's Fiona!"
Traveling is a definite. I have traveled in the States, Europe, India, Thailand, Oz and New Zealand and will continue as long as the budget lets me!
Music is a must. Again quite wide ranging with alot of Irish music. Boss Volenti, Aslan, Penfold DM, Stand, Director, my god this place is producing great music at the moment! Go. Explore and above all else love the music!
Through liking the Red Hot Chili Peppers I discovered John Frusciante does the whole solo thing which is great. And an essential part of music is the live bit, there is no better high!
I could go on forever about bands but I’ll let you read on instead! Carrying on from music is the dancing! I've done everything from ballet to salsa and back again. Salsa seems to be the dance of the moment, good fun, social and great exercise! And please before you pooh pooh the idea and say you hate salsa music, it can be done to anything!
Another large interest for me is reading. An addiction actually, there has been many a late night reading a book going "I'll just finish this chapter, I'll just start the next chapter, etc"
Oh and I suppose the net should be a bit of an interest as I am here!!!!
Music
Irish rock definitely gets my vote! Aslan, Penfold DM, Boss Volenti, Stand, Director, U2 etc. A bit of Robbie Williams never goes astray - and love him or hate him you have to admit he's a great entertainer! Red Hot Chili Peppers and therefore John Frusciante. I could go on for days but I’ll spare you for the time being!
Movies
Lord of the Rings all the way! What an add for New Zealand! Need I say more?!
Television
My housemate introduced the full set of DVDs for the Gilmore Girls which is the present addiction! I at Season 2 so far.... only another 4 seasons to go!
I’m also liking The Long Way Down with Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman which is great….reminds me of the Explorer Belt but a bit faster!
Books
Lord of the Rings (goes with out saying!) The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (a trilogy of 4 books - need I say more?!) I seem to be going through a bit of a biography phase at the mo. Christy Dignam (Aslan), Robbie Williams, Anthony Kiedis, Kurt Cobain - again with the music I'm afraid! And I’ve just started a history of Ireland so I’ll be able to tell you all about The Troubles soon!
Heroes
I don't do heroes. There just people who do great things. But if you want to know some people I think are amazing, try Edmund Hilary - the first person to climb to the top of the world. John Frusciante - a man who seems to have been to the other side of the universe and thankfully decided to come back to this world again. Oh yeah, and he can do some funky stuff with a guitar!!!!
