About me:
The Overachievers is a book about what it's really like to be a student today. Alexandra Robbins went back to her high school to follow 9 terrific people for about a year: Julie "The Superstar," Taylor "The Popular Girl," Sam "The Teacher's Pet," Pete "The Meathead," CJ "The Flirt," AP Frank "The Workhorse" (a freshman at Harvard), Audrey "The Perfectionist," Ryland "The Slacker," and The Stealth Overachiever, a mystery junior. A fast-paced story with "characters" -- real people -- you'll love, The Overachievers has been called funny, riveting, engrossing, and the must-read of the fall. Come enter the halls of Walt Whitman High school and meet.... The Overachievers. [You can learn more by visiting alexandrarobbins.com.]

Thanks for the add. :)

The Tender Bar was fantastic. I love memoirs. They make me feel a little more normal.

P.S. - Kudos on "The Overachievers." My high school was similar to Whitman in some ways, and it was eye-opening to see how many other students go through such pressures.
I loved that book!

Hey Alex! This "hater" (jk, of course) is wondering when your next book will be out. I remember you said you had a deadline to meet awhile back, but I'm not sure if that was extended with all the speaking you have been doing.

Looking forward to something soon!

I was walking through the aisles of barnes and noble not finding anything interesting , when i went to the women studies area and your book "Pledged" immediately catched my eye. I couldn't buy it right off the bat and everytime i would come back to the store i would read more and more pages from it . finally a couple of days ago i went to get it and i am almost done with it. I cannot put it down. it is such an incredible book, every girl has a different story and im sure there are A LOT of amy's, caitlin's , olivia's and sabrinas out there, and i am almost positive they can relate to this book and the situations in it. I absolutely love the way its written and i give you major props on your research. There is a lot of information that parents such as young girls who want to be part of this "life style" need to know before joining a sorority.

I just wanted to leave a small message and congratulate you on this fantastic book.

Best wishes.
Guardian

Hi, Alexandra!
The Overachievers is an amazing read (as is Secrets of the Tomb, which I've also read), definitely worth every penny. From a high school student's perspective, it truly is relaxing in the college admissions process. And when I'm on my superintendent's board of student directors this year, I will DEFINITELY suggest some of the ideas The Overachievers present. Thanks for writing this significant collection of applicable information.

I just finished reading "Pledged" and I loved it! I am not in a sorority, and they weren't really big on my school so it was really interesting to learn more about them! I just ordered the rest of your books and can't wait to read them! Especially because I am definately in my quarterlife crisis as I am graduating from college and starting my first real job in less than 1 week!

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I just finished reading Pledged and I really enjoyed your writing style.

Is there any way we'll get an even more updated update about the 4 girls on your website? The one up there is a couple years old and I'm really interested to see how they all turned out.
