About The Pacific Headhunters R.I.P.

The Pacific Headhunters were real surfers playing real surf music on the coast of California. They mixed classic reverb drenched guitars and California coast saxaphones of classic 1960's surf rock music with modern pulse pounding in your face rythym and style. A mix of classic surf, modern hard rock and symphonic sounds to create a hybrid genre... Symphonic Surf Rock. They've blended their odd love of sea monsters and surfing to create a heavier brand of the instrumental music that was popular in the sixties. As of 2007 the Pacific Headhunters have disbanded. Our fans and friends will be missed...

DeepSea	Feb 20 2007 9:14 PM MARCUS AND TRAVIS!!! Ive spoken to Linda and she says that having you guys come on with us June 3rd is not a problem at all - she is even willing to give us a little extra time, so we can pull it off right. Our idea is that we will play about a half hour of music and then have you guys come on to do some "Kraken", "Misirlou", and probably some "Wipe Out" if we are permitted an encore (or something similar to that). Let us know if you guys are up for it because Linda wants me to get back to her ASAP. We would all have to do sound check together early that morning around 10am, since we are the first band starting at 11. We would want to schedule a couple of rehearsals in late May, so we can be all rehearsed and ready to play those songs together before the pier. Anyways just for now let me know if you guys are up for it so i can get back to Linda. The Deep Headhunters ride again!! talk to you soon Jon - Guitarist from DeepSea

But, your friends from other bands wanted to see you play, so they were more then happy to loan you drummers and equipment. Just goes to show how much your band was loved and will be missed. Zombie Surf Camp	Feb 1 2007 1:43 PM You know it, boys! Now I just gotta shake this cold. Anyways, you guys are on first. Plan on starting at around 9:45 to 10pm. You have a hour or so for your set with break down time. You can set up as early as you want. There is no sound man. Just a PA (8 chnl, I believe. Its small)at the side of the stage. I would recommend bring your own mics and stands. The ones there are pretty beat. Bring your drinking friends. Bands get paid off the bar and is split at the end of the night. Also if you have friends driving down. Tell them to pay attention to the Tow Away signs at the neighboring parking lots. They will get towed. It happens all the time there. Call me if you have any questions, I will try to answer as best I can. See you tomorrow!!! _redd tyde

DeepSea	Jan 25 2007 2:12 PM Ya we are playing the pier on June 3rd, we are definately going to try and make it out to see you guys in April. The new album is going to be similar to the last, half originals/half covers. This time we are going to just take more time and try to produce it alot more, since last time all we did was go in and run through a bunch of songs live and pick the best takes. Then mix it all in the same day, and that is no fun at all. Cant wait to hear your guyses new stuff though! Chris and I might check you guys out at the Anarchy, we have to leave Jake at home since he isnt 21 yet. later Jon

DeepSea	Jan 23 2007 2:12 PM Symphonic Surf - that sounds like it could be pretty cool. Is it going to sound similar to "The Lonely Surfer", the original version by Jack Nitzsche?? That might be a cool song to cover if you are planning on having a orchestra on some of the tracks.
