Perhaps the greatest Beer-Geek Brewer Hip Hop band of all time. A few have tried to perpetrate but none will never hold a candle (filter) to the original B(eer)-Boyz!
Brought together by the love of fresh beer and dope beats, Funkmaster IBU and MC LilGuy have been keeping it real since 2003. Originally a funny joke between the two, A-B Salsegirl was the first track cut by the duo and they haven't looked back since. Burnin' up LilGuy's SM-58 with cuts like Worst Brew Day Ever and Go Old School, the team hit the studio for their first album entitled "Check Your Gravity" tipping a pint to one of the groups inspirations.
A whirlwind tour of east coast beer bars followed the release with all of the requisite side of the Element at 65 mph vomiting and whatnot.
In 2004, The Relievaz allowed the world to catch it's breath from the aural assault because something very unexpected lay ahead.
Untether The Blimp was released in 2005 with bigger beats and sicker rhymes (and the benfit of an upgraded studio). The lead track informs the listener that the search for flavor is over leading into a declaration of war against west coast posers. New musical territories are explored on the record but the group returns to it's old school roots for it's video debut: "Pinchin Pennies".
What will the future hold for The Pain Relievaz?
Hold on to your seats.
