The Pain formed in 1983,out of distorted and no disgrace,the band has seen many line up changes,and up until 2007 still had 3 original members.
we were influenced by the clash and 2nd wave of punk-ruts/uk subs discharge etc,but never tried to sound like our influences,shaping the band into their unique brand of ..punkfuckingrock...The Pain recorded demo..s in 83/84/87/92/94,the songs were released as tapes,the bands gigged with many of the uk..s finest,and finally released their debut album in 2005,..Arab On The Hill..and 2008 will see their 2nd offering released,titled-..-..Songs from the soil.....The Pain individually hold many political and moral beliefs,but try not to over emphasise that,mixing politics with humour and reggae/ska/hardcore aspects combined with our old school roots have shaped the pain into a true honest fun punk rock band.
, The band Gaucho Gastric Juice was formed in 1981 at the beginning of Brazilian punk, an era of revolt in which the cries were suppressed by kicks from the abuses of the military dictatorship. After 27 years, the band continues with their unique influences and not given to bring the screams anarchic rebellion and all the capitalist system, political and bourgeois society that has learned to live as a way to get used to the hypocrisy of today. Hearing the sound of it, I realized how much still needs to be anarchy with the times we live in, most forgot to say that what we feel, scream and not leave behind the will to express themselves and suffocated many revolts, even today, a time free of oppressors and batons. Oi pessoal... As "Sementes da Desordem" estão em contagem decrescente para a propagação oficial e desvendamos mais um tema do EP, "Escravo do Prazer".
Estamos a chegar ao fim de mais um ano e a época natalicia vai promovendo o capitalismo e o consumismo, pelo menos para os que vão podendo. Altura de lavar consciencias e de "ajudar o proximo"... E é no ambito do espirito de natal que os Ervas Daninhas irão ter durante todo o mês de Dezembro e até ao fim do ano mais um tema que faz parte do EP que está para sair brevemente, o tema tem por titulo "Escravo do Prazer" e apela ao prazer, ao sexo e ao amor. Explodão de prazer e façam-se viver!!
Aproveitamos também para deixar agradecimentos especiais a todos os que nos têm ajudado e apoiado neste e noutros anos. Agradecimentos ainda ao Paulão (Decreto 77) que gravou, produziu e foi o 6º elemento da banda no EP - "Sementes da Desordem"; João (Decreto 77) pela grande participação no tema "Guitarras de Guerra"; ao Arroja e ao Igor no "filme" criado para o tema "Bar da GNR".
