   About The Palers' Project

The Palers' Project is a loose international collective of fans of the great English band Procol Harum, who record the songs of Gary Brooker, Matthew Fisher, Robin Trower and Keith Reid for their own and others' pleasure.

Three 2CD albums are currently available online from www.palersproject.com : Lost in the Looking-Glass (2002), From Shadow to Shadow (2004), and Trace of a Feeling (2006). Altogether that's 122 tracks; each album typically features 70 to 100 musicians. A fourth 2CD album is in preparation, and contributions are welcome ...

'It has some astounding moments,' wrote Art Dudley in the USA's Stereophile Magazine, of the Trace of a Feeling album.

'The Palers' Project should not be mistaken for a tribute band,' wrote another reviewer. 'Like the troubadours of old, they have heard the stories and retold them in their own way ... blending close reworkings and startling reinterpretations of the familiar and not-so-familiar ...'

Well-known contributors include Derren Brown, Adam Hart-Davis, Bill Lordan, Rockette Morton, Davey Pattison, Geoff Whitehorn ... yet it's a wholly democratic affair and contributions are welcome from every musical quarter: visit www.palersproject.com for further details .

A very nice Palers' Project tee-shirt is available.

How wonderful to see the support of so many people for the Palers' Project, and how wonderful it is to play the brilliant songs of Procol Harum! I feel very fortunate to be a small part of such a talented and imaginative collective of musicians from all over the world. Shine on, Roland and all the Palers':-)

Hello Roland, I hope you are doing fine! Here are some good news about Astral Quest: we have just been signed by Stone Island Records UK, and our two albums are now available through download on the label's website (www.stoneislandrecords.com). And... ahem... we still haven't recorded our tune for the next Paler's Project CD... Have we still got a little time? :-))
Best regards from France!
