Danielle's Blog: http://palpette.blogspot.com/
Four heartbeats make up The Palpitations. Bonded by the refusal to join the cul-de-sac sect their surroundings insisted upon, attempting to shake the audience out of their daily slumber and routine.
In the beginning Danielle sang lullabies to herself as her baby slept, singing of Suburbia and semi-detachment inside and outside of her four walls. It filled her with deep unease and suspicion. What do these people do to make them feel alive? What is their release? Is it Wife swapping? Petty shop-lifting? Dogging? Gin Mornings? Cocaine fuelled school runs? What is it that gives these people palpitations?
These questions became their decree and all four hearts skipped at the prospect of finding
answers. The Palpitations are beats of hope.
The Palpitations produce a wall of sound that is evocative and powerful, music that snares and circles your brain like a wild animal hunting its prey...It’s direct, absorbing and irreducible
Breaking Waves
That was the fantastic Palpitations from Pushing Pussy Records with 'Tears in The Rain'. They have just released a 300 Limited Edition 7" Vinyl, I've bought mine, number 176 so you better hurry & grab your copy, great stuff!
