"The Pam Macys started back in the winter of '02 after me and joe left our old band due to "artistic differences" (a.k.a-the other kid wasn't cool.)We'd been part of that band for two years.
So me and joe were without a band for the first time ever. Being the smart people we are (i say people and not men because of joe...), we decided that it was stupid for us to not start a little something on our own.
For the next couple of months we wrote stupid songs and played every weekend down in our basements, just basking in the fact that we were in a band again. But we become annoyed as we watched other bands, bands not nearly as good as we were at the time, playing shows and getting some serious recognition in the area's music scene. That's probably what caused us to start actually "working."
This work led to the finding of a drummer. Alan was his name, but we just call him Lucas. He's a cool kid and he's really, really good at what he does.
So we've been practicing for a few months now,we've decided to stick with the current line-up we have now. The Pam Macys are going places, hopefully somewhere good.
The Pam Macys consists of three high school kids who love to play Punk Rock, but not just any punk rock. Not the punk rock of today, but of punk rock glory days. They are influenced by bands like Greenday, Blink 182, the Ramones, Weezer, The Skanktronics, and countless others.
If they could sum up what they want out of this whole band thing, i think it would go like this..."we want to play music that sounds good, but people have to like it...we found that out the hard way..." So there u have it, the purpose and goals of the greatest band in the world..."
