On June 14, 2010 we will be accepting submissions from artists interested in performing in front of 25 to 50 representatives from the 4 Major Recording Labels and several of the top Independent Record Labels.

This will occur over two consecutive weekends. One weekend in New York and one weekend in Los Angeles over two days that will feature 15 of the top bands selected to perform each night at one location. In doing it this way every band that performs WILL BE SEEN by ever representative attending. Unlike SXSW and other such music conferences where if you’re not at the one or two locations where all the label representatives hang out, you’ll ever be seen, and it was a complete waste of your time and money.

NO COST or FEES, other than the artist’s own travel expenses. Compete details and submission procedures shall be posted on our MySpace page June 14, 2010. WE SHALL NOT ACCEPT ANY SUBMISSIONS UNTIL THAT DATE.

And here is why we are committing a considerable amount of time and resources to this opportunity:

Sonicbids is an Artist and Promoters Worst Nightmare

Recently we began a trial usage of Sonicbids’ service for our artist and band searches.

As a result of that test it became clear that Sonicbids is all about earning money at the expense of artists looking to break through the wall that surrounds the music industry.

Based on our experiences from both the perspective of artists we are associated with seeking to benefit from opportunities offered though Sonicbids. As well as from the perspective of promoters searching for talent through Sonicbids service.

Thanks a lot for the add ! EletriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check EletriKa out!

    Hugs from Brazil,
    Claudio David

  • Bio

New Jersey isn't exactly known for subtlety. Between the juice-head gorillas of Jersey Shore and the arena-rattling hair-metal / country / whatever of one Mr. Jonathan Bon Jovi, one wouldn't be remiss in assuming that us New Jerseyans just can't shut up and enjoy the simple things in life. Well, when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me, and The Paper Jets, a new three-piece band based in Central NJ, are here to prove it, rock style! That's right, TPJ has only three members. One guitarist (Brian Erickson). One bassist (Scottie Maloney). One drummer (Frank Lettieri). Lyrics that actually mean something, written by the guy who actually sings them (that damn Brian Erickson again), and delivered without the aid of any auto-tune tomfoolery. It's a formula that's worked for years. And goshdarnit, it still works today! The guys have been compared to Ben Folds and Ted Leo + The Pharmacists, and why not? Their songs take the low-key, contemplative-yet-playful soul of the former and juice it up with the punky energy of the latter, resulting in music that will leave you feeling like both less and more of a man as you are reduced to tears of sadness / joy / laughter while simultaneously rocking out with or without your "you-know-what" out. (Do as you feel, friends. Who are we? Dictators?) So come! Join us for adventure! Join us for substance! Join us for kicks! And most importantly, join us for rock!

Press

"The Paper Jets are quite the entertaining band. Not only are they very talented musicians, but they exude good vibes and have an attitude that doesn’t take itself too seriously while still putting across a musical landscape that has brought them to some of the top venues in the region."
- The Aquarian

"The bubbly power pop hooks and sharp-witted song styles found in these Garden State melody makers are a ray of sunshine to the usual agro-aggressive fare we get each weekend around these parts."
- The Trentonian

"Lyrics are earnest yet catchy and the harmonies are pitch-perfect! Face Forward earns a 91/100!"
- The Newark Rock Examiner

"This is the most delightful power pop you will find in any neighborhoods in 2010. 'Down' and 'Two and Two' jump out as songs among a number that could be lost classics. Luckily, The Paper Jets alive and functioning so you still have time to appreciate them."
- Dusty Books & Pictures
