The Paraffins are a new band from Scotland making scratchy, catchy and sometimes haunting primitive pop you can attempt to dance to with a rusty stringed acoustic guitar, an ancient beatbox, caveman drums, a melodica containing various waterborne diseases and god knows what else.
Since forming The Paraffins have played in Glasgow, London, Amsterdam and Berlin, remixed Hawnay Troof and collaborated with artists as varied as London synth duo Arthur and Martha and former Nyah Feartie Mr Luggs.
