1994 i was screaming hopelessly into my rented 4-trak and my roommate thought i should take it public so he ran into an old high school buddy (rob timbrook, currently of the yuppie pricks) at a party and said his roommate (me) needs a bass player. rob came over and we started playing 3 or 4 of my songs and then we went to his house the next week and jammed on them louder. unbeknownst to me, his hipster neighbor (mark fagan, austin rock legend) was hiding in the bushes deciding whether or not he wanted to play drums for us. he liked what he heard so we jammed together the next week. it rocked. 4 weeks later we recorded a 3 song demo in 4 hours and after many beers took it to scott gardner's garage rock show on KOOP radio THAT NIGHT and he PLAYED IT ON THE AIR and interviewed us. i mumbled somthing corny about dreams coming true and realized it didn't fit the times. it was then that i decided to leave the talking to mark. Sorry, didn't mean to shout before, but it was really that exciting to me at the time. Whirlwind. Great shows with the motards and the inhalants and the sons of hercules ensued. these were/are garage rock legends, WAY before the white stripes and the strokes. we played at sxsw in 1997 and 2000 and recorded several singles on VINYL. we love vinyl. anyway, we're back now after several years of home ownership and marital bliss. back then we were pissed off because we were broke. that fueled our music. well, that and beer. i guess we got lazy and happy. now we're pissed off that rednecks and psychopaths have taken over our country. maybe we weren't ready to take our melodic rage out of texas then, but we're ready now.........join us.
