The Parts was conceived in July of 2004 by Chris Lane (Guitar) and Steve
Hennderson (Bass) soon after the break up of their successful band Forcing Bloom.
Together they started writing songs and began their lengthy search
to find the right people to work with.
After many Craigslist ads and tryouts, Veronica noticed their ad and
soon was asked to join the team as vocalist. Chris had heard her sing in her band Honeyshot, was impressed, and knew she would work well with the sound of the band.
Brian Cox was asked to join The Parts next, as second guitarist. Chis
had worked with him in the past (yes, it's a small musical world ) and he fit right in.
After a belated start, and some time off for a trek through Cambodia by
Steve, another turn of the small music world finally brought all the pieces of
The Parts together with the addition of Nicole Harrington as drummer.
Nicole had played drums for Honeyshot with Veronica, and filled out the
band perfectly.
Since then they have been writing, practicing, recording, and occasionally playing shows. They are currently recording more songs, and playing more shows soon.
The Parts, no longer apart and individual, are now 5 parts brought together by the common goal of creating music. Each "part" is very different and adds their own musical flavor into the band. Together they are assembled for your listening pleasure.
