On the forms I guess I would check single but really I am in a committed relationship now for over a year and enjoying every second, minute, hour, morning, afternoon, day, evening and overnight of it through the weekend, the month and into the next year.
I met the LOVE OF MY LIFE last year and I so preclaim it for all to see and consider.
There are problems associated with our love, what many would refer to as May December. But at the end of the day, we say I love you to each other and we mean it.
My boys have become OUR boys and they accept her as friend, mentor and second mother. I hesitate to say step mother, haven't gone that far yet but that's as close enough as it need to be for now. Of being close, she is closer to their ages and attitudes and beliefs than mine and I believe that gives her a unique perspective as to what goes on in their lives. I try to be a modern dad, but they relate their days more confidentially with Mandy than with the old fart. And I like that. I love her for her tranquility, her boldness, her passion, her insight. I can't believe I've gone through this life without her. So there it is, for all the world to see. Mandy...I love you.

As a DJ you might think I love all kinds of music. Well, as a DJ I do love all kinds of music. As a Karaoke DJ I do love/hate all kinds of music. But given the opportunity to leave MY JOB behind, you will find me listening to all my favorites on Sirius, the 70s channel. I also like Amy Lee of Evanesence and Beyonce when she was Beyonce and not this new rapper she thinks she needs to be. I like classical piano and moving orchestral pieces. And I like silence. And of course I am being exposed to tropical and hawaiian music since that is what Mandy enjoys. Yes...you can teach an old dog new tricks.

I enjoy watching whatever comes out as long as it is no chick flic. I'd prefer to watch those at home on showtime or HBO. I just watched Crossing Over with Harrison Ford and Kill Shot with Mickey O'Rourk both of which I enjoyed if only for the aging actors.
I like blood and guts type movies including anything Bourne, anything Tom Cruise, Iron Man, Batman, X-Men.
Television
BIG LOVE, KITCHEN NIGHTMARES, HUNG, THE TUDORS and waiting for the next season of The Sons of Anarchy.
I wish they would bring back and finish Dead Wood and another series of Sopranos. OZ was gritty, too bad that one is over too. Horatio Hornblower was exciting on PBS, so much that I bought the video series.
Books
I have been reading. and reading. and reading. I started reading when I was 10, reading that is past my 10 year old counterparts. I'd pay the school librarian (an 8th grader) a quarter to let me check out 5+ books. It worked until she got caught. But I upped my allowance then to 50 cents and I continued reading more than my teacher would normally allow. Currently I consume about 30 novels a year, down from my novel a week of 10 years ago. Here's how avid I am. As a married man, family after work until bedtime. Then I would sneak out of bed to read until 3 or 4 in the morning. As a single person I can read when I want, but my job is so demanding that when I get free time I want to spend it with my LOVE OF MY LIFE. So I'm down in my quota of reading, but when I do you'll find me with a WARHAMMER series of books in my hand. I had three of them in progress but I can't find them anywhere right now. HHHmmmm could it be they've been tossed? Now who would do that??? And on those occassions that find me traveling at night...my AUDIO BOOK IS playing through the night.
