The Passion formed in the late 80’s in Columbia, Missouri and have been creating their own post-punk-influenced sounds off-and-on ever since. After several limited local releases, the band released a full-length, self-titled album on Hometone Records in 2001 that received extensive airplay on nearly 200 college and community radio stations across the country. From 2001 to 2002 the band gigged extensively as part of the Budweiser True Music Live program. The Passion have shared the stage with The Secret Machines, White Rabbits, British Sea Power, Dr. Dog, The Soup Dragons, Kaito UK, The Lucksmiths, The Fixx, The Quails, Gene Loves Jezebel and many more.
