Jamaica 69
The Pedal-Tones! formed in 2004 when a few guys who are in love with the early reggae sounds of Jamaican and the UK began jamming together in an Irvine, CA Garage. Since then some members have moved and joined other reggae bands around the county. For the past few years, Bubba has carried the sound on with line ups that always feature solid, So Cal area musicians with a strong foundation in the JA to the UK sounds from the early 60's to the early 70's, including Ska, Rocksteady, Skinhead and other early reggae. Sometimes they get a little funky too.
The guys have shared the stage with legendary acts of the 60's including the Skatalites, and Rico Rodriguez. Acts of the 80's including The English Beat, the Untouchables, and the Skeletones. And such contemporary acts as The Slackers, The Toasters, The Aquabats, and The Aggrolites.
The Pedal-Tones! has featured members from such acts The Israelites, The Nuckle Brothers, Eek a Mouse, and guests including Chris Murray, and members from bands like Jeffries Fan Club, Neville Staple's Specials, and the Aggrolites.
