About me:
1977 Gary Blehm created the Penman character in drawing flip-page style animation in his English book at 12 years of age. 1980 Gary created his first "Find Two Identical Penmen" poster while trying to find a way to market a stick figure. 1989 Gary published his first Penmen poster and began distribution through various retailers and distributors. 1990 - 1995 Eight Penmen posters were completed and being distributed, a Penmen book was published by Harcourt Brace, and a Penmen comic strip was syndicated nationally through Creators Syndicate. 1995 Gary bought his first computer and built penmen.com. 1998 Gary implemented flash animation into his artistic repertoire, gaining recognition through animation projects for a wide variety of national/worldwide corporate entities. 2005 PenWorld and Wine Enthusiast Magazines both commissioned Gary to create Penmen strips for their publications. 2006 Gary completed a 6 episode animated adventure series entitled, "PENMEN" that will soon send the Penmen characters to television viewers throughout Europe and Asia. His latest project, a Penmen poster series based on his animated television episodes, is scheduled to be released in early 2007. He resides in the Colorado Rocky Mountains with his two sons and pens.
