THE PEN NAME has been writing and performing synth 2005 (OMG, we are funny). While hailing from just south of Chicago, the members (Adam “Snake”, Derek, Jake, Josh, and Kyle) are usually no fewer than 6 hours away from each other, due to school and such. Nevertheless, they have taken their metal infused rock n’ roll with synth leads (that transcend just sound effects and are actually competent) across the Midwest and East Coast, sharing the stage with bands such as Gwen Stacy, Remove the Veil, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Emarosa, and The Devil Wears Prada. They have self-released 3 EP’s, the latest effort “Teeth Dreams” recorded by Matt Dalton at 37 Studios (See You Next Tuesday, For The Fallen Dreams). THE PEN NAME’s only goal is to continue to write music they love and perform it for as many people who are willing to listen. Some gas money would be nice though…
