Originally called NNP, The Penny Dreadfuls formed in Reno, NV in 2002. Still being in High School and waaaayyy under 21, they made their start playing house parties, parks, community centers... anywhere that would take them. In summer 2004, The Penny Dreadfuls (at this time still called NNP) went on their first national tour. They played many venues coast to coast, including the legendary CBGB's in New York, The Crowbar in Pennsylvania, Emo's in Austin, and 924 Gilman street in Berkely, all before reaching the legal drinkig age. They have been lucky enough to share the stage with many great bands including: T.S.O.L., Swingin' Utters, Unwritten Law, Lagwagon, GBH, The Lawrence Arms, The Uptones, Awilhelmscream, and The Dead Pets. In 2005 The Penny Dreadfuls released their first 14 song full length L.P. titled "Who is the Criminal" (unfortunately for them, still under the name NNP). In 2007, they moved to San Francisco, made some lineup changes and changed their name to The Penny Dreadfuls.
The Penny Dreadfuls are currently working on their second full length, to be released in Summer 2008.
