Formed out of a working mans aristocracy and all that is English and beautiful. It's a far stretch from imagination and even harks back to the psychedelia of yore. Providing a set of classic pop/psychedelic tunes reminiscent of early Pink floyd, Davy Jones and the Lower Third, Syd Barrett and other 60s influenced pop. But essentially we dont have a clue as to what we do, and ergo, nor should you.

The Pepperbox are an English rock and roll band who formed in Northampton in 2006. The four members of the band are Jason Brodie (vocals, accustic guitar), Aidan Fall, (guitar),Rob Yuen,(Bass) and Dan Benton,(Drums).
They initially earned recognition for their earlier sounds that were certainly influenced by archetypal genius David Bowie, Madcap Syd Barrett and psychedelic elements of Pink Floyd.
During a frenzied two-year period, The Pepperbox have established themselves as one of Northampton’s leading bands, and during late June early July, 2008, completed the recording of three new tracks that undoubtedly demonstrate the progress and maturity of Jason Brodies lyrical waxing and lead electric guitar of Aidan Fall.
The relationship between Brodie and Fall is akin to pre factitious Morrissey and Marr, Anderson and Butler, or Albarn and Coxon. Even so, the rhythm section of Yuen, (Bass) and Benton, (Drums) cannot be overlooked, because unquestionably they provide the powerhouse that makes The Pepperbox such and interactive and exciting combo.
Their recent EP consists of three tracks” last night’s material, old sal, and train” and they were all written and arranged by Brodie, apart from the awe-inspiring chorus chords on Train which were written by Aidan Fall. Luke Goddard produced the tracks, (ex drummer of “The On Offs”), Benton’s drums were recorded at Northampton College, and the rest was recorded in Goodards bedroom on his Mac, and he later added keys and extra percussion. Hard to believe, but true.
“Train” is the exceptional new track and is simply the best song The Pepperbox have written and recorded. It is an expression of frustration and grief exacerbated by the need to “Get out of town”. The magnum opus of Aidan Fall guitar, circa “Let it Bleed”, is as powerful as any Keith Richards deep blues riff and is as down-and-dirty as any of “The Rolling Bones” blues-tinged rock and roll. What an encore.
