BIO
The Peppermint Apes started out in August 2008 as Ryan Stanton put together an acoustic set of songs as support for the fantastic Marc Bolan Tribute ..TooREX.., at the Towngate Theatre Basildon.
Ryan Stanton, Darren Owen, Zak Ballinger, and guest guitarist Ross Turbin only had two weeks notice to rehearse up a cool set for the gig of their musical young lives.
Following the positive response they received on the back of the show, the next logical step was to go the next chapter and officially form the band.
Darren, Ryan & Zak decided management was needed to help put the band on the map, and luckily for them Ryans dad Col with over 30 years of touring and depping experiance for well established bands, was only pleased to take on the job!
The 6th October was a fantastic day for the group as they went into Arcade Studios, Hockley with the brilliant engineer Pete Booker to record the track [Miracle to me]
The video miracle to me is wowing fans from all over the world and the future is looking so bright for the guys! This song is certainly helping the band with radio airplay!
Shortly after Miracle to Me, Original guitarist Jason Bones decided to leave early-on due to personal reasons. We wish Jason the best with his musical future, and we thank him for his contribution to the group!
After many auditions Lewis Brown was the perfect man for the job, he blended in as a true Peppermint Ape, and is starting to write good songs with the band, and has great backing vocal ability!
The Band love what they do, and look forward to the future!
